I have upper abdominal pain, bloating and frequent burps from past 2 weeks. Along with this I need to pass stools atleast 3 times everyday. Is this normal or should I be worried?

Doctor's Answer

Hello, thank you for sharing your concern and taking this first step to actually understand what is going wrong with your body internally. With the symtoms you've just mentioned it's most likely that you may have either IBS or IBD, will need more details to understand. But don't worry, if it's something you've been facing for less than a month then healing is much more easier and faster - book a consultation with one of our doctors to find a diagnosis and permanent solution.

New-onset gut symptoms — even when mild — are worth investigating early because catching a condition in its initial stage makes healing significantly faster and more complete. A consultation that takes a thorough history is the most efficient first step.

Thavira Health is a doctor-led gut health practice — not a wellness brand, not a supplement company. Our team of AYUSH-certified BNYS doctors has treated 500+ patients with chronic gut conditions using an integrated 7-modality protocol: naturopathy, herbology, supplements, yoga, meditation, acupressure, and hydrotherapy. Every protocol is personalised and adjusted weekly. The goal is simple — you eat normally, travel freely, and your gut runs without medication. Want to know if this approach is right for your condition? Join our information-packed webinar or book a one-on-one consultation call at thavira.health.
