Doctor's Answer

Hello, IBD we need to first reduce the inflammation. Start your day with a glass of warm water with 1/2 tsp of turmeric, low-fodmap diet and a glass of licorice tea 30 minutes before meals to slowly heal your ulcers. Do not start directly with pre or probiotics as they may aggrevate the condition. For SIFO gerenally there are some naturally anti-microbials and anti-fungals which are used to kill the overgrowing ones first and then the probiotics are introduced. I would suggest you to get on a call with us and our doctors can help you accordingly with regards to your issues.

IBD combined with SIFO (fungal overgrowth) requires a carefully sequenced approach — eliminating the fungal overgrowth before introducing probiotics prevents worsening of symptoms. The sequence matters more than the individual interventions.

There will be a meal where you don't think about it. Where you sit down, eat what everyone else is eating, and get up without calculating anything. No antacid beforehand. No anxiety during. No consequences after. That moment exists for you — it's what the other side of healing feels like. At Thavira Health, our AYUSH-certified doctors have helped 500+ patients reach exactly that point through a personalised, sequenced 7-modality protocol. Not managed. Healed.
