Doctor's Answer

Hello, most of the time when the acid levels are imbalanced it will lead to poor breakdown of food leading to fodd staying in the stomach for a longer duration and causing gas build-up. When there is too much trapped gas it is bound to apply pressure on the surrounding areas and that includes your diaphrgam too causing chest discomfort or difficulty in breathing. Try to shiift your dinner timimgs to before 7 as post that the digestion physiologically also slows down. Keep your dinner the lightest meal with low grain diet and 30 mins post meals have a glass of ginger tea or warm water with a pinch of hing to help release gas. This should help with the discomfort you are feeling. Further questions regarding this - you may contact our team for more.
