Doctor's Answer

Hello Ruchi, lack of hunger, low appetite, and increased heat in the body - especially formation of mouth ulcers is a sign of a gut in distress. Often times it is associated with low acid levels in the stomach or increased inflammation in the intestines. I would recommend starting a low FODMAP diet, avoiding sugar completely as well as spicy foods and drinking soothing juices like ashgourd or aloe vera juice to heal the gut lining.

Low stomach acid is more common than most people realise and is frequently mistaken for excess acid. Healing the gut lining and restoring proper acid levels allows appetite and energy to return naturally.

If you've spent months — or years — trying to get this under control, you already know how draining it is. The restricted diets, the medicines that work only while you're taking them, the hope and the disappointment cycling endlessly. At Thavira, our doctors don't manage gut conditions. They treat the cause, in the right sequence, until healing is complete and medication is no longer needed. 500+ patients treated. 97% success rate.
