GERD
Question

My issues include - GERD, insomnia, fatty liver, dullness, poor focus, hopelessness. People say it's all in my mind but I read somewhere that they are all connected to the gut, can you please explain?

Doctor's Answer

Hello, glad to know that people are getting more and more aware of the issues. As much as individually the problem has progressed slowly most of the time they are all interlinked together through gut. Our gut is considered as the second brain - with the two way communication we have with our brain and gut releasing similar chemicals that manage our mood and sleep. That's why most patients with gut issues also face mental health weakness leading to low energy, dullness, loss of focus, insomnia, anxiety and depression. Shortline if we try to manage our gut microbiome and regulate our nervous system slowly. Hope that helps. Any doubts you can always visit our website and go through the articles to get more evidence based facts.
