Hello, more reflux meaning more damage to the lining leading to nerve hypersensitivity too. Practice coconut oil gargling or salt water gargling with a oionch of turmeric in it to manage the throat burning. Go for a low grian diet and add licorice tea 30 minutes before meals for a good mucus layer healing. At night before sleep either have triphala powder or chamomile tea before sleep to clear out bowels and clam down nervous system respectively. Follow these and visit our website for more details with evidence based tips.

GERD-related nerve hypersensitivity in the throat is a signal that the oesophageal lining has been exposed to acid repeatedly. Healing the lining alongside reducing reflux is what resolves the sensitivity rather than just suppressing the acid.

When symptoms return after treatment, it's rarely because the treatment was wrong. It's because healing the gut requires multiple layers — the lining, the bacterial balance, the nervous system, the diet — addressed in the right order. Miss one layer, and the others can't hold. At Thavira Health, our AYUSH-certified doctors treat all layers in a structured, personalised sequence. That's why our patients stop needing medication — not because they're managing better, but because the gut has actually healed.
