Anxiety
Question

I'm facing upper stomach pressure. along with that pressure I get fear, anxiety. I became totally dull, confidence is low. If my stomach is normal I'm full energetic and confident. Is my problem associated with gastritis or anxiety?

Doctor's Answer

Hello Mythily, anxiety and gut issues often travel hand in hand. Increased anxiety and fear increases cortisol levels in the body - which worsen the gut lining and acid levels. Practicing mindfulness techniques like meditation, yoga would help calm your mind. And along with that, a gut friendly diet which is non spicy with no onion and garlic will help prevent your burning triggers. You have to meet your mind and body halfway to achieve complete healing.

The gut-brain axis runs both ways — calming the gut reduces anxiety, and calming the mind reduces gut inflammation. Addressing both together is what makes the difference between temporary relief and lasting change.

Eating at a restaurant without calculating consequences. Travelling without mapping bathroom locations. Waking up and not thinking about your stomach first. These aren't small things — they're your life. And they're what our patients get back after completing the Thavira protocol. Our AYUSH-certified doctors treat chronic gut conditions using a personalised, sequenced 7-modality protocol — naturopathy, herbology, supplements, yoga, meditation, acupressure, and hydrotherapy — with the goal of permanent healing, not lifelong management.
